Our inability as a Nation to compete with Asian companies really has nothing to do with the salaries of the workers but has much more to do with the different level of safety and environmental standards between North America and the Rest of the world. For example a metal stamping press in North America requires Safety Curtains, Extensive Safety Controls that is very expensive. Where as in Asia, specifically China, the presses that stamp metal parts do not have safety curtains, do not have interlock controls or any other items that are required in North America.

Import/Export regulations should take into account a level playing field that would require companies that Export must meet the same safety and environmental regulations as they do in the importing country. Then our country would be on a level playing field that would only be different by the labour being charged.
U.S. lawmakers launch push to repeal NAFTA

WASHINGTON — A small group of U.S. lawmakers planned to offer legislation Thursday to withdraw from the North American Free Trade Agreement in the latest sign of congressional disillusionment with free-trade deals.

The bill spearheaded by Rep. Gene Taylor, a Mississippi Democrat, would require President Barack Obama to give Mexico and Canada six months notice that the United States will no longer be part of 16-year-old trade pact.

The move comes as Obama says he wants to resolve problems blocking congressional approval of long-delayed trade deals with South Korea, Panama and Colombia. The strongest opposition to those agreements comes from Obama’s fellow Democrats.

The United States also will begin talks later this month with Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Chile, Peru, Vietnam and Brunei on a regional free-trade agreement in Asia Pacific.

Taylor blames NAFTA for a loss of U.S. manufacturing jobs that he believes threatens national security, a spokesman for the conservative 10-term congressman said. You can view the full article from Comcast News.
Deindustrialization of America was planned

To meet the needs of this new era, could there be room to postulate the notion of a global currency? The economy is an invention of humanity, thus can be reinvented. The global community should postulate the notion of a new virtual country that could embody the WTO & the IMF with a new global currency. This virtual country could be governed by the global community in a way that ensures that the most urgent requirements of civilization are recognized, addressed and implemented to meet the urgent needs of all humanity.

Inside this agenda is a plan for global government to emerge from the ashes of the once great United States and for the era of national sovereignty itself to subside. To achieve their goal, an economic squeeze is placed upon the nation and environmental pretexts are being used to strangle independence and viability– in America it has been the NAFTA, GATT, WTO and United Nations treaties that have wrecked her integrity and pillaged her productiveness. Aaron Dykes, Infowars.

Dr. Richard Day, the National Medical Director of the Rockefeller-sponsored “Planned Parenthood” told a meeting thatAmerican industry will be sabotaged and shown to be unreliable and uncompetitive.

In view of the recent bankruptcy of General Motors, his remarks are especially pertinent.

“The stated plan was that different parts of the world would be assigned different roles of industry and commerce in a unified global system. The continued preeminence of the United States and the relative independence and self-sufficiency of the United States would have to be changed… in order to create a new structure, you first have to tear down the old, and American industry was one example of that.”

“Each part of the world will have a specialty and thus become inter-dependent, he said. The US will remain a center for agriculture, high tech, communications, and education but heavy industry would be “transported out.”

These remarks to the Pittsburgh Pediatric Society were reported by Dr. Lawrence Dunegan, a Pittsburgh pediatrician who died in Jan. 2004. The speech described “A New World System” already in place which would permanently transform the world. Dr. Day, who died in 1989 (see obit below), wanted the 80 or so physicians present to be prepared.

Dunegan recalls: “The idea was, you could get a little bit disgusted with your Ford, GM, or Chrysler product -or whatever- because little things like window handles would fall off more, and plastic parts would break which, had they been made of metal, would hold up. Your patriotism about buying American would soon give way to practicality that if you bought Japanese, German, or imported that it would last longer and you would be better off. Patriotism would go down the drain then.”

The transcript of Dunegan’s recollections has been posted here and should be read in full.

While 12,000 homes a day continue to go into foreclosure, mathematically perfected economy™ would re-finance a $100,000 home with a hundred-year lifespan at the overall rate of $1,000 per year or $83.33 per month. Without costing us anything, we would immediately become as much as 12 times as liquid on present revenue. Transitioning to MPE™ would apply all payments already made against existent debt toward principal. Many of us would be debt free. There would be no housing crisis, no credit crisis. Unlimited funding would immediately be available to sustain all the industry we are capable of.

There is no other solution. Regulation can only temper an inherently terminal process.

If you are not promoting mathematically perfected economy™, then you condemn us to monetary failure.
